		Sonic Battle provides a portable dose of furry-fisted action, stuffing a handful of cast members from SEGA's marquee franchise into an arena fighter with a groovy 3D engine pulled out of the GBA's 2D butt by Sonic Team's programming wizards.
		Sonic Battle has four modes of play, along with a batch of five mini-games.
		Each battle is preceded by a meaningless sequence in which you move across a tiny world map to your clearly marked destination, followed by meaningless and ridiculous dialogue exchanges with scaling and rotating character clipart, gobs of text, and the occasional speech clip.

		Out of the three Sonic titles confirmed for release this year, Sonic Battle, a multiplayer fighting game, is the only one that sticks out as a pure departure from the formula established by previous games in the series.
		Sonic Battle is a free-roaming fighter more in the vein of games like Powerstone and Super Smash Brothers than the Street Fighter series.

		When Sonic takes this robot to Tails'; house, it is revealed that the robot is called a Gizoid and it is capable of absorbing attack teqniques and creating it's own moves based on the captured data.
		To broaden it's repetoire of moves, six characters, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Rouge and Shadow take Emerl on little quests in order to teach it their moves and to retrieve chaos emeralds because dr Eggman is after the gizoid as well as the emeralds.
		Overall, the battles can be a little repetitive as you have to continually use the same moves that you chose at the beggining of the battle (unless you die).
