		The preview claimed that the graphics in Sonic R were superior to that in Super Mario Kart 64.
		The thing is that Sonic is the most difficult player in the group (more on this in the gameplay section), and the first track is pretty tough too (all the water makes for some tight turns).
		For example, while Sonic is the fastest, Knuckles can glide for an indefinite period of time, Tails can fly for a brief period of time, and Amy can turn her car into a little boat which goes across water.

	Sonic Gems Collection
		Sonic R is not terrible but the control feels clunky and is overall a really short experience.
		Sonic CD is a great fun game to replay on each level so you can visit them in their past and future form.
		Sonic Gems Collection may not be the collection of all of the best sonic games out there, but the 3 main titles Sonic the fighters, Sonic CD and Sonic R worth the 30 bucks price tag.

		Sonic was to make another appearance on the short lived console but this was still not the traditional style 2D platformer that people dreamed would grace their Saturn.
		Sonic R is a full 3D polygon racer with Sonic and related characters in a game with plenty of game elements that make up a Sonic game.
		Sonic R scored only minor success due to the lack of Saturns popularity but it did show the machine, again, had enough power to create good games given the chance dispelling some of the anti-Saturn propoganda.

		They commissioned Richard Jacques the man behind the great soundtrack for the Saturn port of Sonic 3DBlast to compose the music for Sonic R who hires Euro pop singer T.J. Davis to sing the lyrics after Naka recommended her.
		As for me, well, I really enjoyed Sonic R. It was very short, but then again about 90% of SEGA Saturn games actually released in the west that didn't happen to be an RPG made by SEGA took about 5 minutes to see the whole game anyway.
		Sonic R was one of those games where you had to get used to playing to master.
