DC Comics never says that the future presented in the LEGION OF SUPERHEROES is their official future and neither did Marvel Comics in their GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY comic.

A couple of new Encyclopaedia entries for Fleetway have been added, also a couple of new Comic scans in the Fleetway gallery, including several Metallix stories and the origins of Sonic and Kintobor, one of Fleetway’s most sublime plot twists presented to a whole new audience.

Unlike Archie Comics, Fleetway Publications used the same story about Sonic's origin that had aleady been shown in the previously-menitoned Disney Adventures Magazine, and created a background which was mostly based on the Sonic games from SEGA.
However, except for Sonic and Tails, each comic has different main characters.
The very first Sonic comic strip that I know of was published in the US as an Advertising Supplement in 'Disney Adventures Magazine' Volume 2 No. 1, November 1991 (the issue with Michael Jordan on the cover).
