		Sonic is a blue, 15-year-old hedgehog who lives on the planet Earth (or Mobius in various other American or European sources, which, depending on the universe, varies from being simply the name of Earth in the future to being an entirely different planet).
		Sonic is something of a nomad; he travels from area to area of the Earth searching for new things to see and do, rarely stopping for anything or anyone unless he's needed, often times getting himself involved in Eggman's schemes to take over the world.

		Sonic Heroes is the fourth game bearing the Sonic the Hedgehog license to appear on the Nintendo Gamecube (counting Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and the Sonic Mega Collection), and not only marks Sonic becoming completely multi-platform, but also marks the new "Team" gameplay mechanics.
		First there's Team Sonic, which is the quintessential "good guy" team, is comprised to the three classic Sonic the Hedgehog characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna.
		Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were a lot of fun, but didn't quite deliver the classic Sonic the Hedgehog experience in my opinion, and it's great to see a return to the classic style with Sonic Heroes, despite featuring a new gameplay hook: the "team" mechanics.
