As I'm moving from one administrative area to another (from Kyoto to Osaka), I get to do all the fun of reregistering as an alien in Osaka, navigating the local rules for health insurance and pension payments (sure to be different), switching banks, changing address with the mobile phone company and so on.
Ritsuko is of course even busier than I am, with apartment-related paperwork, moving phone lines, newspaper subscriptions and so on in addition to dealing with years worth of things in her apartment.
There is an ongoing debate here on revising the constitution, and one proposal is to change or remove article nine in the Japanese constitution, which forbids Japan from having a real army (though the Self-defence forces are as close as doesn't matter) and forbids Japan from participating directly in peace-keeping missions.
