		The South Arm Township zoning board of appeals will consider a zoning variance sought by the Lake Charlevoix Cove Association to allow a dock with up to 29 boat slips, and five additional boat mooring points, on 800 feet of association-owned shoreline on Thorson Drive off M-66.
		Rod Tinney, a co-owner and secretary in the housing association, said a variance should be granted as the township previously approved the development, and the dock plan received permits from the state Department of Environmental Quality and Army Corps of Engineers.
		Though not every home lot within the association is on the water, Tinney said the association gives homeowners an equal share of the riparian rights -- and access to a boat slip once their house is built.
