The LDF for South Cambridgeshire will be made up of a number of documents, including a core strategy, and other documents that plan for development at different locations.
Consulting the community on the future planning of South Cambridgeshire began at the end of 2001 with the publication of an Issues Report seeking views on 60 issues covering strategy, the future of the Green Belt, housing, employment, shopping, transport, sports, open space and recreation, environment and conservation, environmental standards and the proposed new town.

 Research Study Group: Sites: South Cambridgeshire District Emergency Centre
From the war room we moved on to the South Cambridgeshire District Emergency Centre that is located in a converted basement at the Council Offices at the junction of Hills Road and Harvey Road, Cambridge.
The bunker was completed in 1986 with the help of a substantial Government grant which paid for the conversion of the semi sunken basement of Cambridgeshire House, a converted early 20th Century town house.
Thanks to Keith Ward for arranging the visit and South Cambridgeshire EPO Tony Lendley for taking the time to show us round.

The South Cambridgeshire landscape is fairly flat and you don't have to be particularly fit to manage this route.
The views over the cornfields to the south of Trumpington are particularly spectacular in June when the poppies are in bloom.

 International Civic Heraldry- UNITED KINGDOM - SOUTH CAMBRIDGESHIRE
The shield retains the red background and ermine saltire charged with a red book edged and decorated gold which were the basis of the Chesterton arms.
In the flanks of the shield, two gold sheaves indicate the union of two rural districts to form the new authority.
The wheatsheaf was the only emblem in the South Cambridgeshire Rural District Council seal and this appropriate symbol is thus preserved.

 Youthoria - South Cambridgeshire District Council
The event was organised by young people from in and around Cambridge and South Cambs and was supported by South Cambs District Council, Cambridge City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Connexions.
This is South Cambs’ first Youth Event and the city’s fourth, bringing together young people from the two districts covered by the area’s UK Youth Parliament Member of Parliament.
