 Crumrine - Cross Creek Twp.
The township of Cross Creek retained its original territory and limits until May, 1806, when a portion of it was taken to form the township of Mount Pleasant; and in 1853 the township of Jefferson was formed from the western part of Cross Creek, reducing the township to its present limits.
In 1863 Cross Creek township had nine school districts, in which ten teachers taught, and two hundred and ninety-seven pupils were enrolled; $98.40 was received from the State, $1082.50 from other sources, and the cost of the schools for the year was $1132.23.
Cross Creek township was a separate justice's district from its erection in 1790 till the erection of election districts, May 4, 1803, when it became embraced with other territory in District No. 3, and so remained till 1838, when the office of justice became elective, and the township an independent district.

 Beavercreek Township, Greene County, Ohio USA
The Pennsylvania and CH and D Railroads and the Dayton and Xenia Traction ran from west to east across the township.
Beavercreek Township is the cradle of Greene County, for it was the little log cabin built by Benjamin Whiteman, occupied by Peter Borders, a short distance south of the log mill of Owen Davis erected in 1798 on Beavercreek that the first meeting of the associate judges of Greene County met May 10, 1803.
New Germany in the northwest corner of the township was a settlement of farmers of German extraction.

 History of Penn Township, Perry County
Penn Township lies at the junction of the Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers, almost in the form of a triangle.
The Township is bounded on the north by Wheatfield Township; on the east by the Borough of Duncannon and the Susquehanna and Juniata Rivers; on the south by Rye Township; and on the west by Rye and Wheatfield Townships.
In 1840, upon petition to the courts, Penn Township was created with the boundaries as they now exist and became the 14th Township of Perry County.

 Ross Township- Township History
On November 15, 1808, thirty residents of that area petitioned the country courts to divide the township "by a line from the eight-mile tree of Franklin Road, running due east and west".
On the affirmative report of the viewers, the court confirmed the line at the November term of 1809, and the new township was named Ross in honor of James Ross, the eminent attorney of Pittsburgh, just then at the height of his career.
In 1847, the formation of Shaler Township took away about two miles from the eastern side of Ross; so that from that time the township has remained as it is today, except for the formation of the West View Borough in 1905.

The Cherry Creek Watershed, located in southern Monroe County and just north of the Northampton County line along the ridge of the Kittatinny Mountain, is now a Sub-Association of the Brodhead Watershed Association.
The Cherry Creek watershed includes the Cherry Creek, Mountain Run and a number of unnamed runs that drain north from the Kittatinny Ridge and south from Godfrey's Ridge as well as several unnamed tributaries that drain south from Godfrey’s Ridge to the Valley floor.
The Cherry Creek teams are a part of the larger Brodhead Watershed Association and serve as grassroots volunteers.
