For the record, Harbhajan has now equalled the tally of 24 wickets in a three- match Test series against Australia held by England's left-arm spinner Bobby Peel (1888 in England) and pace bowler Tom Richardson (in 1896 in England) and by West Indian fast bowler Michael Holding (1981-82 in Australia).
However, Harbhajan could go past the next best tally of 25 wickets held by South African left-armer Charlie Buck Llewellyn way back in 1902-03 at home.

Matthew Hayden's four catches in India's first innings equals the record by eight other fielders for the most catches in a Test innings against India.
Hayden is the 73rd instance in Tests of a batsman missing a Test hundred by a run.

Among genuine batsmen only Dilip Vengasarkar (15 ducks in 185 innings), Pankaj Roy (14 in 79), Chandu Borde (13 in 97), Mohinder Amarnath (12 in 113), Sunil Gavaskar (12 in 214) & Vijay Manjrekar (11 in 92) have more ducks than Tendulkar, who equals the tally of 10 ducks (in 155 innings) by Gundappa Viswanath.
He becomes the 17th Indian batsman to record 10 or more ducks during their career.
** By scoring three ducks in the series, Tendulkar became the only sixth genuine visiting batsman to do so in a series in the West Indies after Englishman Jack Iddon (in 1934-35), New Zealander Ken Rutherford (in 1984-85), Englishman Mark Butcher (1997-98), Australian Matthew Elliott (1998-99) and South African Gary Kirsten (in 2000-01).

 Profile of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar
Tendulkar is a class apart as he makes 111 out of an Indian first innings total of 227 against South Africa in Johannesburg and at 19 years and 217 days becomes the youngest player to reach 1,000 Test runs.
Ganguly was particularly fulsome in his praise for Sachin Tendulkar, who hit a six and seven fours in a 120-ball innings of 97, taking his run tally for the tournament to 571 in just eight matches.
Tendulkar returns home to face Sri Lanka again and it is a similar story as he collects 22 boundaries in a first innings score of 142 at Lucknow as India triumph by an innings and 119 runs.
