The fire service, police, RSPCA inspectors and council officials were despatched when the one-year-old animal went for a dip in the back garden of the house in Trinant near Newport.
A bullock caused chaos after it broke through a fence and ended up in the shallow end of a private swimming pool in south Wales.

 Combined Fire Authority
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (Combination Scheme) Order 1995 established the provision of a Combined Fire Authority (CFA) covering the former Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan and Gwent Fire Authorities.
The Authority has a statutory obligation under the Fire Services Act 1947, amended in 1959, to maintain a Fire and Rescue Service capable of dealing effectively with calls for assistance in the case of fire and other emergencies.
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Wales) Act, 1994 and with effect from 1 April, 1996 the Fire Service in Wales was restructured into three new Brigades:-

The first-time deployment of new equipment provided by Environment Agency Wales for use by the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has prevented a serious pollution of the Camnant, a tributary of the Afon Twrch, in Carmarthenshire.
Precautions were taken during the recovery operation to lift the tanker back onto its wheels and this was eventually pulled free from the ditch and back onto the road without spillage of oil.
During the recent incident a bulk tanker carrying over 30,000 litres of heating oil overturned into a ditch on the A482 at Harford, south of Ffarmers on the Lampeter to Llanwrda road.
