Combined Fire Authority The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (Combination Scheme) Order 1995 established the provision of a Combined Fire Authority (CFA) covering the former Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan and Gwent Fire Authorities. Angling News The first-time deployment of new equipment provided by Environment Agency Wales for use by the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service has prevented a serious pollution of the Camnant, a tributary of the Afon Twrch, in Carmarthenshire. Precautions were taken during the recovery operation to lift the tanker back onto its wheels and this was eventually pulled free from the ditch and back onto the road without spillage of oil.
