 The Beaumont Enterprise - Southeast Texas adds 900 jobs
Southeast Texas added 900 jobs from April to May and that improvement helped the area tie for third in the state in job growth, a Texas Workforce Commission labor market analyst said today.
Second was the Sherman-Denison area in North Texas, which added 300 jobs, but was enough for seven-tenths of a percentage point in improvement.
In Southeast Texas, the amount of people in the labor force increased, as did the number of people working and the number of unemployed.

Texas law requires the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to approve a regional transmission organization (RTO) for the SERC to qualify as a power region for retail competition to begin.
