		The SMU assistant football coach told the prospect that he (the assistant football coach) would talk to the head football coach at SMU about holding an athletics grant-in-aid open for the prospect for the 1998 season, but the assistant football coach would not pay for another individual to take the prospect's test in June.
		During the university's investigation (and after the student-athlete had left the institution) the student-athlete and his father agreed to a follow-up interview at their home, but later declined to participate in the interview.
		In addition to the university's self-imposed penalty of reducing the number of football coaches permitted to recruit off campus by one during the 1999-00 academic year, the same limitation will be imposed for the 2001-02 academic year.
