The idea for the exhibition was born in meetings held by a small group of artists from SouthernSavonia during a couple of years.
The exhibition is arranged by the Arts Council of SouthernSavonia and the Regional Museum of Savonlinna.
The curators for the exhibition 24 H are artist and chairperson of the Visual Arts Council Ilkka-Juhani Takalo-Eskola and for design, a member of the Arts Council of SouthernSavonia, designer Marja Putus.

The city was founded in the 17th_century based around St._Olaf's_Castle.
The castle was founded by Erik_Axelsson_Tott in 1475 in an effort to protect Savonia and to control the unstable border between the Kingdom of Sweden and its Russian adversary.
