Finally, several new theories of the origin of Slavs were published, and found large numbers of followers, in the 1990s and 2000s, fueled by the rise of nationalism in Ukraine and Russia.
Some even claim that Slavs existed as an entity as early as the 7th to 5th millennium BC and were ancestors of the Sumerians.
In the early history of the Slavs, and continuing into the Dark Ages, non-Slavic groups were sometimes assimilated by Slavic-speaking populations: the Croats and the Bulgars became Slavicized and their non-Slavic tongues disappeared; in other cases, Slavs themselves were assimilated into other groups such as the Romanians, Magyars, Greeks, etc.

Slavs have their origin from the Indo-European family.
Slavs appeared in early histories as Venedes or Wends, but their connection to the Veneds mentioned by Tacitus, Ptolemy and Pliny, remains uncertain, and the similarity of the two names may have come about accidentally.
Prehistorically, the Slavs, like all putative Indoeuropeanss, inhabited a region in Asia, from which they migrated in the 3rd or 2nd millennium BC to populate parts of eastern Europe.

Slavs first appeared in history living in the Pripyat Marshes area (Polesie), but a considerable number of Slavic words have Indo-Aryan links of the form suggesting genesis from a common ancestor, rather than borrowing.
Some recent authors connect the Lugii with Slavs, some with Germanic tribes and still others claim that they formed a compound tribe, or a confederation of tribes of different ethnicity.
Presumably the Slavs, like putative Indo-Europeans, originated from a region in Asia, from which they migrated in the 3rd or 2nd millennium BC to populate parts of eastern Europe.

As far as I know southern slavs are mostly of mediterranian type like the majority of Italians, for example.
Slavs in Russia or Poland can be of nordic, baltic, dinaric, alpine anthropological types so it is hard to describe a typical slavic look in words only.
Southern Slavs do look different, but there are common looks between all Slavs...sometimes I look at someone and have a hunch that they are Slavic -whether they are Serbian or Ukrainian.

Apperantly there are people that believe that the Slavs are not white or they are the "second-sort-white", it is probably because many WN sympathize Hitler, and the whole "Russian means Red" issue.
Anyway, Slavs are our racial brethren and to view them as anything but such is to them a great disservice for they have been fighting Jewish oppression for hundreds of years.
Slavs are White Europeans, of civil demeanor; in my eyes they fulfill the necessary criteria to be counted among the Aryans.
