		Southwest Jiaotong University is one of the five Jiaotong Universities in China, originally founded in Shanhaiguan in 1896, and now located in Chengdu, the provincial capital of the Sichuan province of the People's Republic of China.
		Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) was founded at Shanhaiguan in 1896.
		It is a key university directly under the administration of Ministry of Education, and has developed into an engineering-highlighted multi-disciplinary university incorporating science, management, economics, liberal arts and law.
