I came to town for graduate school in 1993 which was, oddly enough, a year when the White Sox made the playoffs, and I actually enjoyed the fact that they were in it, rooting for them all the way.
True, the White Sox would never have usurped the Cubs' primary place in my affections, but that doesn't mean they couldn't have been a close second.

The White Sox of 2005 was a great team, a very likeable team with a likeable group of guys, and they were a fun team to watch.
And as far as the Cubs-Sox rivalry, it is fun and all, but it shouldn't be the number one for Cubs fans.
The White Sox aren't in the Cub's division, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Houston Astros, those are the teams that I hate.

Cubs or Sox, they may be from the other team, and they don't represent our team, but damnit, they both come from and represent Chicago.
