	Space Ace - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The animation for Space Ace was produced by the same team that tackled the earlier Dragon's Lair, headed by ex-Disney animator Don Bluth.
		Space Ace was made available to distributors in two different formats; a dedicated cabinet, and a conversion kit that could be used to turn an existing copy of Dragon's Lair into a Space Ace game.
		A short-lived cartoon series based on Space Ace was produced, and was aired as part of the Saturday Supercade cartoon block, which was composed of cartoon shorts based on current video games.

		Deciding which of the two is better is basically dependent upon your preference in the animation and storyline, and in my mind, Space Ace is clearly the superior of the two.
		Space Ace for the Jaguar CD has you in control of Dexter, whose aim is to rescue the incredibly sexy Kimberly from the Evil Commander Borf while at the same time trying to regain your former self (Space Ace) by destroying the Infanto Ray, defeating Borf and saving the Earth.

		As Ace begins his mission, he is zapped by The Infanto Ray and turned into a helpless little boy named Dexter and his beautiful girlfriend Kimberly is kidnapped.
		The joystick is used to give Dexter or Ace directions and the button is used to have Dexter or Ace fire his blaster and also occaisionally have Dexter transform into Ace if the word "Energize" appears on the screen.

		One essential downfall of both Space Ace and Dragon's Lair is the "lab rat" syndrome - you either move the joystick, or hit the action button, in the right direction at the right time, or you've just wasted part of the 50 cents required to play the game.

		SPACE ACE proves to be quite playable on DVD, although getting the knack of using the remote control takes some time, especially for a klutz like me. Accuracy of the remote control is pretty good, although not perfect.
