		While Spartan herbicide provides excellent broadleaf weed control, and it has some activity on grass weeds, Spartan should be tank-mixed with Prowl herbicide at labeled rates for control of many of the grass weeds.

		The Spartan men’s track and field team set nine school records en route to a commanding meet win that saw the Spartans finish with 214 points, while the closest competition (Milwaukee School of Engineering) finished with 123 points.
		Deer set two school records, finishing second in both the pole vault with a height of 3.35m and the long jump with a distance of 6.43m.
		Garlinsky holds school records in the 800m run (2:31.27 on 4/30/04), long jump (4.72m on 4/29/05), heptathalon (3,195 pts on 4/9/05), and 4x100m relay (53.70 on 4/27/05).

	Piedmont Historical Society -- Marriages
		The marriage notices presented here were abstracted from The Carolina Spartan, which is one of the few sources for marriage records of Spartanburg County for the period prior to the beginning of statewide registration on July 1, 1911.
		Other sources for marriage records include family Bible records, which usually include information on mostly one family unit and even this is sometimes lacking; and local church records, which cover a larger community area.
		Church records often fail to record marriages but usually do note when a female member's name is changed by marriage.

	Celtus - The History
		The band signed a record deal with Jive Records for whom they recorded two albums which were successful in the US, one of them making the Billboard Top 100.
		Jive Records didn't renew their contract and the band carried on gigging.
		This was partially music that was commissioned by EMI and used during the Jimmy Nail tour and brought so many positive comments that they felt it should be available to fans.

	Billy W. Chernoff - Biography
		Gary was an artist-producer that arranged Billy's 1st recording session in 1968 at RCA studios in Toronto for 2 songs which included No Lonelier Than You, released on Spartan Records that immediately made the Canadian national charts (#10 - RPM Country Chart, 1969).
		Neil arranged the recording session of 4 of Billy's songs at Music City Recorders, which was engineered by Scotty Moore (lead guitar for Elvis Presley).
		Arrangements were made for Ronny Light to produce To Ma Ray, Tom O Ray, which was recorded in December, 1969 at the now famous "RCA Studio B" (Elvis Presley), Nashville and released internationally June 1970.

	The Bradford City Disaster
		The game against Lincoln City was proving to be a scrappy goalless affair when, shortly before half-time, a puff of smoke rose from the seating at the far end of the main stand.
		Many of England's most famous pop-musicians, for the occasion under the name of ”The Crowd”, recorded YNWA on a single in aid of the Bradford City Disaster Fund.
		The sculpture depicts three ethereal figures in bronze moving in a broken circle.

	McDonnell-Douglas LIM-49 Spartan
		The LIM-49A Spartan was stored in and launched from underground silos, and the first Spartan launch occured in March 1968.
		However, official DOD records describe the XLIM-49A as a three-stage intercept missile.
		The designation LIM-49A for the Spartan makes sense, because Spartan was indeed a modified/improved Zeus B, but had nothing in common with the Nike Zeus A.

		On May 11, 1985 a football stand caught fire and killed 55 people and injured some 200.
		This was Ex-Pacemaker Gerry Marsden's project to benefit the Bradford City Disaster Fund, a new recording of the old hit Pacemaker's hit "You'll Never Walk Alone" which apparently had been adopted as the theme song of some football clubs (please excuse my UK 'football' ignorance).
		Featuring a cast of thousands calling themselves "The Crowd" that included names like Denny Laine, Phil Lynott, Rick Wakeman, Motorhead, John Entwistle, Eddie Hardin, Joe Fagin, Paul McCartney, Kiki Dee, Girls School, … and Zak Starkey, it was recorded May 20, 1985 and released May 24, 1985.

		The Barons were an early-'60s Detroit group more famous for its members (Roger Craton aka Lee Rogers, Tyrone Douglas, and Jesse Greer) than any accomplishment on their own whose records, due to limited pressings, are rare.
		Gordy and Murphy were partners on Griffin's release (this was before Gordy started his own label) but Gordy ended the association after the single floundered.
		Tyrone Douglas' career was the busiest and most fruitful, but nobody knows him cause he sang with groups who members weren't well known.

		Agony Column [Leeds, UK] There appears to have been an Irish band called Agony Column but it's not the Agony Column that was listed here, who were from Leeds and who fit into the Gang of Four family tree.
		However, they gathered their forces in 1991 to record the critically acclaimed I Am The Greatest album for the Irish, London-based, indie label Setanta.
		Fronted by Gay Woods, ex wife of Terry Woods (Sweeney's Men, Pogues) with whom she formed the Woods Band and recorded a number of duo LPs for Polydor in the 70s.
