Boogie Rock Downloads - Download Boogie Rock Music - Download Boogie Rock MP3s
Their first two albums were released with barely a ripple, and their third, a live concert document called Drippin' Wet, was the first to scrape the lower reaches of the Top 200 albums.
The self-titled debut album was a solid blues-rock album and one of the better showcases for guitar pyrotechnics in a year with more than its share, amid albums by Cream, Blind Faith, the Jeff Beck Group, and Led Zeppelin.
Their subsequent studio albums failed to attract as much enthusiasm, and their two live albums, An Evening With the Allman Brothers Band and 2nd Set, released in 1992 and 1995, respectively, were steady but not massive sellers.

The Spectres, Seattle's gift to hot rod raunch and dead wrecking music, continue to spread the Devil's gospel across the plains of North America with a third album of prime-evil rot 'n' roll music.
The Spectres are not a Brian Setzer Orchestra knock-off; they mix good old-fashioned psychobilly with inspired, lampooning lyrics and a demented stage persona.

God Save The Sex Pistols - Glen Matlock
Instead of 'Precious', The Spectres next single was 'Stories' which was co-written by Matlock and Art Collins, and was produced by Clive Langer who Glen had played alongside on the Bette Bright tour.
An early incarnation of The Spectres came together after the split of the Rich Kids and consisted of a line up of Glen Matlock, Rich Kids guitarist Steve New, former Tom Robinson Band (TRB) guitarist Danny Kustow, and drummer Budgie who was between spells with The Slits, and Siouxsie & The Banshees.
Little more was heard of The Spectres and Glen's hope that they would materialise more completely than the Rich Kids had sadly faded.

The second of the black and white trilogy (known as such due to the artwork) this BÖC album from 1973 carries on from where the last left off with hard rock riffing and weird occult imagery.
One of the true icons of Hard Rock Music reformed in 1998 and these were the results- an album that modernised their hard/progressive/occult rock style whilst remaining unmistakably BOC.

PETER HAMMILL Nadir's Big Chance reviews and MP3
This is the fifth excellent solo album by Hammill: both with VDGG and solo he seemed to be unable to write bad songs during this golden age.
On this album, Peter may have been taking the piss out of the then current rock& roll scene (the ill reasoned glam disgust of the lead off track), but while doing so, made one of the ultimate rock& roll albums of the 1970's.
It is a first punk album (listen to the songs like: "Birthday Special", "Open Your Eyes", or the title track for instance), which was born a long before a punk era.

Tentative Review by The Christopher Currie: Peter Hammill - Nadir's Big Chance
This album is not Hammill's masterpiece, and it isn't quite the work which some legends claim it to be, but it is an interesting progressive diversion from the period.
The album begins with the anthemic title track, an "in-your-face" explosion from the Nadir persona as he tries to make his presence known in the music world.
The "concept" of this album concerns the life of Rikki Nadir, memorably described in the All-Music Guide as a "dumb garage rocker", as he attempts to break into the music business armed only with loud guitars and an attitude.

The session tracks include a Spectres and Status Quo version of Van Morrison's Gloria and I (Who Have Nothing) that is probably better associated with Shirley Bassey.
The CD re-release contains both stereo and mono versions of the album as well as BBC session tracks and interviews from Status Quo and the two earlier, though seemingly identical, Spectres and Traffic Jam.
However, a listen to Picturesque Matchstickable Messages from the Staus Quo shows that this is a very good album, albeit a mix of covers of reworked versions of the hit single.
