Overall, this score was a big disappointment, especially after the CNN story that featured Goldenthal's recording of Sphere last month (in that story, the music that was heard from Sphere was very good, and I do not recall hearing it on the album release).

Domestic albums show that this task was also carried out by average citizens, owners of domestic albums, who internalized the language of loss and transferred it from high culture to low culture, and from the public sphere into the private one.
To bring the album closer to twenty-first century cultural terms, one might say that the album was a “scrapbook” in which poets and other famous personages of the day and/or the album owner’s family and friends wrote down their verse and prose, often addressed to the album’s owner.
One album, dated 1829, belonged to a teenage girl, Maria Łubieńska; the second was kept from 1843 to the late 1860s by an educated man with political aspirations, Edward Rastawiecki.(11) The single organizing principle of these albums is the idea of Poland, yet it is executed very differently.

Vintersorg's 'Vision From the Spiral Generator' is an album that is for hardcore Viking metal and folk metal fans, but nothing really out of the sphere of interest.
To rate this album was kind of hard; a lot of the songs were half good and half bad, it was just a weird experience having to skip around on almost EVERY track on the album.
The instrumental parts on the album go from the boring to the brutal to the technical, but can sometimes be tediously long (not in the good way).

And if you've never bought anything by Panic, this album may be one of the best introductions to its sphere of changing musical faces.
In addition, Panic followers will be glad to know that the live instrumental favorite commonly known as "That Thang," officially appears as "Party at Your Mama's House." For some reason there is a one minute techno segue at the end of this tune that sounds like a product of an over-produced album.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I found Barry Levinson's much-maligned Sphere to be an intelligent, superior science fiction / horror movie, featuring excellent performances by the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Sharon Stone and taut, focused direction.

Two of my favorite joints on the album would have to be "Justified" and "Angelz." "Justified" is basically a lyrical breakdown of Romans 3:12-24 in which he deals with the fact that we are justified in Jesus Christ and Him alone.
To use some of shai linne's words, this album is pure "lyrical theology." With a very laid back feel, each track brings forth the gospel in a way that you've never experienced before.

Curtains is, appropriately enough, the sixth and final album in a series of solo efforts released by Chili Pepper John Frusciante in 2004.
Most of the albums in this six-part series were made in less than a week in the interest of keeping the music as pure as possible, along with all the minute imperfections that make it "human".
Curtains is completely acoustic, and follows critically acclaimed series, The Will to Death, Ataxia's Automatic Writing, DC EP, Inside of Emptiness, and A Sphere in the Heart of Silence.

U2: How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb: Pitchfork Review
Bono is 43 years old, boasts remarkable sway both inside and outside the pop culture sphere, and fronts one of the most universally recognizable rock bands of all time: He is a neo-superstar-- global, important, impossibly entertaining, and forever tiptoeing the line between wholly extraordinary and idiotically self-obsessed.
Despite a deliberately leading album title-- and one lone, overtly suggestive song title ("Love and Peace Or Else")-- How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb is a curiously apolitical record, more about love and loyalty (and the 2001 death of Bono's father) than impending global doom.
The decision to sidestep bold politicking and instead highlight feelings-and-guitars is a particularly compelling one right now, given the super-charged months preceding the record's release (and the melange of global conflicts now escalating to new levels of absurdity).
