Radio seems ready to shrug off its bandwidth constraints, as television did with the advent of cable (and, to a lesser extent, Internet broadcasting).
In other words, whereas radio was limited somewhat by the constraints of terrestrial broadcasting - namely, limited bandwidth within each DMA - it is now taking steps into a world where the range of available content isn't limited by the availability of bandwidth.
Yes, radio could be well on its way to getting rid of the bandwidth constraints that hampered terrestrial radio.

Radio Caroline attempted to put its case backed by a team of independent radio experts but were unable to gain any time on BBC radio or television to do so.

Radio Telescopes   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-14)
Although they do not look like optical telescopes, radio telescopes are built to accomplish the same gathering and focussing tasks on radio frequency radiation that reflecting telescopes perform on visual frequency light.
Radio telescopes are used for many purposes, but let us describe two here explicitly: the mapping of neutral hydrogen concentrations using the 21 centimeter spin-flip transition in hydrogen, and the use of multiple radio telescopes operated as if they were a single telescope of very high resolution.
Thus, radio telescopes tuned to this frequency can be used to map the great clouds of neutral hydrogen found in interstellar space.

On The Radio.net Poised to Reinvent Radio Advertising
With an extensive database including call letters, genre/format, and contact information for more than 13,000 radio stations throughout the United States, On The Radio.net puts a unique spin on radio advertising by offering radio listeners and advertisers the ability to locate radio advertising information that was unavailable prior to its launch.
A common scenario is a listener who hears an interesting radio commercial and recalls only the date the commercial aired but not the name or phone number for the advertiser.
The same applies to any advertiser, or listener, seeking information about a radio station that caters to a particular audience: a list of stations registered with On The Radio.net within a 65-mile radius will be displayed that matches the specified criteria.

EMAP, the media group, is believed to be considering spinning off its radio assets, which include Kiss FM, as a way of taking part in the sector consolidation kicked off by the new media ownership rules.
As the majority of Emap's business is magazine publishing, which is a slower growth market than radio, the company's shares are much less highly rated than radio-only companies such as GWR or Capital Radio.
Emap insists it will not sell its radio business in the merger frenzy that is already gripping the sector, after the liberalisation of media ownership laws spelt out in last month's draft Communications Bill.

A proper spin entry is one in which the stall break and rotation begin simultaneously.

I have also seen straight ahead stalls followed by push to vertical, then snap roll and this was called a spin (also a zero).

The agreement between ASCAP, which has more than 190,000 members, and the Radio Music License Committee, which represents most of the 12,000 commercial radio stations in the U.S., is the largest single-licensing deal ever in American radio, both groups said in a joint release.
Keith Meehan, executive director of the RMLC, said in the joint statement that the group was also pleased with the agreement, saying separating royalty fees from radio-station revenues had been a goal of the group for years.
Their not being able to put their radio broadcasts on the Internet has been moot anyways, what with all of the streaming audio stations and the software that allows you to download 8 simultaneous streams of music.
