For those of you who are concerned that I'm talking about a sport that invloves a lot of bodily fluids, it's a term that screenwriters use for when they get stuck.
Well I love that name - spitballing - and I think it is an absolutely fantastic idea.
I have to say, this is the bit I love about my job; I'm meeting up with a client next week to talk over his book and spitball a little.

Hey folks, welcome to Spitball!, the world's first screenplay written by blog. You may want to read the posts in our about section, particularly our Statement of Purpose
Just realized there might be people out there unfamiliar with the term "spitball", which makes a lot of our in-jokes (well, maybe only the funny names) incomprehensible.
"Spitballing" is a term invented by William Goldman (author and screenwriter of such classics as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and All The President's Men) as kind of synonym for brainstorming.

But even with authorities acknowledging that more arrests are inevitable, there's one thing that could hinder further takedowns: political correctness.
Since the terror busts, some Canadian journalists have been busy spitballing accusations of ethnic insensitivity at each other from the nation's editorial pages.

The only rule was (is) nothing is a stupid idea because everything makes you either defend the direction you are heading in or think of a new way to go.

Anyway, I feel like spitballing; one of the downsides of blogging, I suppose, is that there’s not way to have an immediate exchange of ideas with whoever’s reading you… you always have to wait when and if a comment pops up and then just reply to that and so on and so forth.
I have an inherent need to communicate just as much as I get off on making people around me laugh, and even though I might or might not at some degree accomplish both hopefully, I wish it were more immediate.
