A great deal of the plot focuses on the aliens, which is pretty cool, but at the same time leaves you wanting to hear more from the humans.
You sit through quite a few of them over the course of the story and can't help but notice their general lack of polish.

He wants to remind Europe that the Polish people were also allies and that they were betrayed and a betrayal of a loyal ally can be in no way justified.
He turns our attention to the stereotypes, which were formed in the period of the Second Polish Republic, adhering to the Romantic tradition and promoting an idealised vision of the Polish history (it fulfilled essential didactic and civic tasks).
One should add that the common awareness of the Polish people was also formed under the influence of the communist propaganda, which claimed that the Warsaw Rising was evoked by 'the troublemakers', who acted against the nation's interest and historical reasons.

Scripted in Polish, and directed by 'Ghost in the Shell' director Mamoru Oshii, it's an odd, but a highly enjoyable, two hours.
With one exception, there isn't a single bar of music in the entire two hours, which insidiously gives the world a stark, empty feel, and the fact that no children appear in the 'real world' emphasises the suggestion that humanity pretty much has no future.
Without spoiling it, the story centres around the main protagonist who is searching for a - by that time - legendary secret level in the architecture of Avalon, a place known as Class Real.

I was indeed exposed to Irish mythology, mostly thanks to my maternal grandparents, who made many trips to Ireland and always brought me back books (knowing me well, as they did!).
Now, there are certainly enough examples of badly written mainstream books to go around, and I'd extend my "polish and care" demand to them, too - but, frankly, it's the ghettoized genre stuff that gets blamed the most for sloppy writing.

Some graphic games, I feel, are rather spoiled by having all possible verbs on pull-down menus, leaving little or no scope for imagination on the part of the player, and there comes a point where real-time events are happening on the screen and the game is verging on an arcade-style game, or a wargame.
This is not because some players are deaf, or want to play while wearing their personal stereos, but because adventurers may not wish to disturb those around them with synthesised dalek voices, beeps and laser blasts.
So many promising computer graphics are spoiled by a lack of understanding of how objects diminish with distance, and parallel lines converge in perspective.

The answer so easy twenty years ago, that the new poetry was spoiled by an influx of German bad taste, will hardly hold good now, except with a very few very ignorant people.
Goethe, Milton, Spenser, Shakespeare, Rabelais, Ariosto, were none of them high-born men; several of them low-born; who only rose to the society of high-horn men because they were themselves innately high-bred, polished, complete, without exaggerations, affectations, deformities, weaknesses of mind and taste, whatever may have been their weaknesses on certain points of morals.
