Norse mythology mentions three kings of Nericia, Nidud, Olof the Sharp-sighted and Sporsnjall.
Nidud was a villainous king in the lay of Wayland the smith, Olaf aided the Norwegian king Vikar in battle, and Sporsnjall was burnt to death by Ingjald Ill-ruler together with five other petty kings.

The next source for Nerike appears in Heimskringla by Snorri Sturluson, where we learn that Nerike had a king named Olof the Sharp-sighted whose grand-daughter married king Ingjald ill-ruler, the king of Sweden.
King Ingjald kills King Sporsnjall of Nerike, proclaiming himself the ruler of all of Sweden.
When Ingjald is killed by Ivar Vidfamne, Ingjald's son Olof Trätälja settles in Nericia with what remains of the House of Yngling and their loyal men.

The next source for Nerike appears in Heimskringla by Snorri Sturlusson, where the King Ingjald Ill-ruler kills King Sporsnjall of Nerike, proclaiming himself the ruler of all of Sweden.
Sporsnjall is succeeded by Olaf the far-sighted, but little is known about him.

Among those kings were king Algaut of the Geats in Westrogothia and king Sporsnjall of Nerike, but king Granmar of Sudermannia did not arrive.
At the banquet Ingjald swore in front of the drunk kings to increase the size of his kingdom in all directions.
