  20th WCP: The Record Dilemma
A sport record is a performance, measured in exact mathematical-physical entities (meters, seconds or kilograms) within a standardized spatio-temporal framework defined by sport rules, that is better than all previous performances measured in the same way.
Record sports have to satisfy strict requirements on both standardization of conditions and on exact measurement of performance.
Not all record sports are equally exposed to the record dilemma.

Ice skating and Tai chi for example are sports which come close to artistic spectacles in themselves: to watch these activities comes close to the experience of spectating at a ballet.
