  Presentation of SPOT Image Company
The Spot Image company was incorporated in 1982 to market, produce and distribute, worldwide, data returned by the Spot series of Earth observation satellites, a program which has been operational since February 1986 and is guaranteed to remain so for at least the next 15 years.
Currently SPOT IMAGE is conducting a very large mapping project including stereoplotting for line maps and the production, over a period of 3 years of 1.600 SPOT imagemaps at a scale of 1:100,000 and negotiating several project involving the use of SPOT data and cartographic derived products for implementing cadastral surveys in agricultural areas.
SPOT imagemaps are map quadrangles in a map sheet format composed of a SPOT image background projected and segmented according to a cartographic system (UTM, Lambert...) and thus registrable to local maps.

USGS TerraWeb: Flagstaff Atlas: SPOT Panchromatic Stereo Images
For this study we had a SPOT 10 meter panchromatic stereo image pair collected; a nadir looking image was collected on November 7, 1995, and an approximately 29 degrees west/off nadir looking image was collected on November 8, 1995.
The stereo images shown in previous figures were generated using an existing DEM at 30 meter resolution and artificially introducing horizontal parallax into either the shaded relief of the DEM or Landsat TM images.
We had two images collected for the Flagstaff area using the ten meter panchromatic imaging system on SPOT; the images were collected on November 7,1995 (nadir view) and November 8, 1995 (27 degrees west/off nadir view).

Spot Image Focuses On Serving Its Government, Military Customer Base
That is true for Spot Image despite the fact that it has three satellites — Spot 2, Spot 4 and Spot 5 — functioning in orbit.
Nasr and Spot Image have no current plans for full in-orbit backup of Spot 5 before 2008 or 2009, when the French government’s high-resolution Pleiades satellites will be ready for launch.
Nasr said Spot Image is concerned that Pleiades will not arrive soon enough to protect the company’s revenue base, and that Spot Image and its shareholders — principally CNES, and EADS Astrium — are discussing alternatives.

Spot does expect such variation within batches; in fact a key component of the grid location process is an estimate of the overall shift between the current image and the template.
For example, inspection of the images may reveal that the range of horizontal offsets is approximately 30 pixels and the range of vertical offsets is approximately 20 pixels.
A technical note regarding offsets: If all images in a batch have the same dimensions - for example, 1500 x 1500 pixels - it is possible in principle to overlay any pair of images and thereby assess the difference in position of the grids of spots in the two images.

 Using Spot Image Analysis Software
Spot is a program for extracting foreground and background intensities for individual spots on a microarray image.
Spot is implemented as a library in the statistical program R. Spot assumes that you have a series of arrays which you will want to process, all of which have a layout so similar that you can use the same template information for all of them.
The images file is a tab-delimited text-file called "images.mybatch" giving the names of the files containing the TIFF images.

At the final step, the wave spectrum image in the frequency domain is analyzed by using filtering and clustering approach to detect the location of the governing power in the image.
This study uses the mathematical morphology to reduce the noise and unrelated linear features in the image, and then the probabilistic relaxation is employed to classify the wave patterns and transform the image into a binary image.
At second step, the fourier transform is utilized to transform the binary step, the wave spectrum image in the frequency domains analyzed by using filtering and clustering approach to detect the location of the governing power in the image.

Koada Technology - Products - Koadarray
Koadarray is also very fast, a 5000 spot image may be fully analysed and quantified in 30 seconds with an average computer.
Also, unlike other array image analysis programs that require you to define numerous grid details such as spot size and row/column spacing, the unique spot finding algorithms used by Koadarray mean that you only need to input the number of blocks and spots.
If the automatic spot finding is unable to determine some spot positions, as may be the case in images with many missing or indistinct spots, the positions of spots or blocks can be manually adjusted.
