Spring Arbor Township is located Jackson County in the southern portion of Michigan comprising the entire portion of the survey township of T3S R2W.
In the township the population is spread out with 25.3% under the age of 18, 14.3% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.4% who are 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the township is $51,770, and the median income for a family is $59,407.

Potawatomi Indians were Spring Arbor Township's first recorded inhabitants with a large, major encampment, burial sites, and council grounds in the southwestern portion of the Township.
This was located in a heavily wooded area in the northwest corner of Section 32 of Spring Arbor Township where it intersected with Sections 29, 30 and 31.
