 My First Sprint Distance Triathlon
On the 29th of August I participated in a 5K run and I was pleased not to finish last, considering I probably ran around 6 times in my life before that running race.
I was nearly last out of the sea, reeled back around 7 competitors by the end of the cycle, only to lose 5 of them in the run as my legs were full of lactic acid from my relatively good bike time-trial.
Now, I hope to be able to complete the Maltese National Championship Olympic Distance Triathlon on October 8, 2006.

Qualification Criteria for the 2007 Sprint Distance World Championships
The ITU Pan American Junior Championships is an open race, however, registration for this race must be coordinated through USAT and the number of US entries may be limited by ITU if field limits for the event are reached.  This is a sprint-distance, draft-legal competition.  Please read the entry criteria (pdf) posted below carefully. 
Each year, USAT ranks Youth Elite and Junior Elite athletes who participate in USAT-designated and sanctioned Youth Elite and Junior Elite Cups and Regional Cups.  Annual All-American and Honorable Mention honors for Youth Elite and Junior Elite athletes are determined based on this ranking.
