Sprite comic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sprite comics are webcomics that use computer sprites, often taken from video games, for significant portions of their artwork.
Due to the popularity of the comic, many of its features have been frequently emulated by other sprite comics, and thus are often seen as cliché.
Sprite comics have become very popular in large part due to the ease of creating a sprite comic, since minimal artistic skill is required.

Sprite (computer graphics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sprites were originally invented as a method of quickly compositing several images together in two-dimensional video games using special hardware.
For each frame the sprites are first bit blited (short for "bit block transfer") into the fast, large, double, and costly frame buffer and then the frame buffer is sent to the screen.
Software sprites were used to refer to subroutines that used bit blitting to accomplish the same goal on systems such as the Atari ST and the Apple II whose graphics hardware had no sprite capability.

 New Mexico Tech's Sprite Homepage
Sprites are most likely a form of lightning discharge which develops at high altitudes (30-95 km) in a substantial quasi-electrostatic field originating from a large parent discharge in the cloud below.
Most sprites appear to be associated with positive cloud-to-ground (CG) lightning strokes which are significantly displaced from the electrically active cores of thunderstorms.
However, there are some sprites which are delayed significantly (by over 150 milliseconds) from the occurrence of a positive CG and there may even be some which are not directly associated with a CG at all (though the evidence for this is far from conclusive).

If you make your comic off of the top of your head will generally look worse then if you type it down, and make everything perfect before you start.
Remember to keep the length of the comic small enough so that it all stays on the screen and big enough that you can fit at least 3, 4, maybe 5 frames per line.
Some things you could do to make your sprite have more actions (and dosent just sit there with the same expression and stuff)is to do stuff like, flipping the sprite horizontal, changing the eyes, moving/changing body parts, and using a sprite from a different version.
