Spyro the Dragon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Realizing who is responsible for the disaster, Spyro sets out to free the realm's dragons, recover their treasure hoard from the invading Gnorcs, and then confront and defeat Gnasty Gnorc himself.
As typical of any dragon, Spyro's two main abilities are breathing fire, and gliding long distances through the air with his wings; Spyro also has the ability to charge across open terrain and smash through enemies with the horns on his head.
Each level is designed to incorporate Spyro's gliding ability, featuring large gaps too large to jump normally, accompanied by higher terrain nearby from which to jump off of and glide the distance to safety.

 Spyro: A Hero's Tail
Spyro, Hunter, Zoe, The Professor, Sgt Byrd and Sparx are appropriately voiced and their character is spot on.
Spyro is small but not small enough to fit through cracks in the wall so this sounds like a job for Sparx.
Spyro moves pretty smoothly this time though his walk is more rabbit like and so is his charge.

Spyro's spotty reputation isn't going to be rectified with this release, because Shadow Legacy lacks any sort of depth or challenge, making it suitable only for very young or otherwise undemanding audiences.
Spyro makes his debut on the DS with a half-hearted action adventure game with some thin RPG elements tacked on.
Spyro is unaffected by this weirdness, so it's up to him to free the Dragon Elders from their confines in the shadow realm.

DailyGame Review: Spyro the Dragon: Enter the Dragonfly [GC] [PS2]
Spyro’s most recent adventure, Spyro the Dragon: Enter the Dragonfly, comes from a new development team that’s trying to both capture the magic of past Spyro games and deliver it for the first time to GameCube owners.
Using the thumbstick, gamers move Spyro through 25 large 3D levels to collect crystals, eliminate enemies and free one Dragon sensei after another from their frozen-in-ice state.
Spyro is a child, and this game is geared toward children, so it should come as no surprise that most of the voices in the game sound almost like kids recorded the dialogue.

GamingWorld X - Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly Review
Spyro is all grown up now and has been taken to the next level in gaming entertainment, but still remains to live up to his PSone antics that, sadly, didn’t go that extra mile to please gamers and fans alike of the series.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, is conveniently split into stages, or worlds so to speak, with each world holding a specific number dragonflies that must be rescued in order for the game to progress.
Specifically, Spyro is the only character to have accurate movement (if only you could motion capture a dragon) when being controlled around the worlds and seen in cut scenes.

Spyro and Sparx must save Avalar from Ripto's grasp in order to return to their rudely interrupted vacation plans.
Spyro is, at its core, a 3D platform game, and with all Playstation releases in this genre, developers must strike a balance between frame rate and graphical detail.
When Spyro 2 was released, I read in a number of publications that Stewart Copeland (of The Police) had composed the music for the game, and I'd tried to imagine what he would write for a video game.

Spyro the Dragon is a familiar character in the world of videogames, spawning a franchise that has sold more than 13 million copies since his debut on the Playstation in 1998.
Spyro will find his dragonfly sidekick, Sparx, at his side as he is also joined by Hunter the Cheetah, Sgt. Byrd the dive-bombing penguin, and Blinky the Mole; making his debut appearance in A Hero’s Tail.
Spyro: A Hero’s Tail does do a nice job of providing younger players with enough of a challenge while not becoming too kiddy for older players who still enjoy Spyro’s humor and gameplay.

Spyro: Season of Ice Preview - GBA - Welcome to the GameVortex
Spyro roams around large fields, collecting gems and fighting baddies and releasing some faeries from their icy prisons--hence the name of the title.
Since the Spyro games are progressive--unlike, say, Metroid, Spyro kept his abilities from Ripto's Rage in Year of the Dragon--there's hope that almost all of his abiltiies will survive intact from the PSX, and perhaps new ones will become available.
Spyro: Season of Ice is expected to be released near the end of this year; we'll be keeping tabs on it.
