Chronicles of Clovis -- SREDNI VASHTAR
Red flowers in their season and scarlet berries in the winter-time were offered at his shrine, for he was a god who laid some special stress on the fierce impatient side of things, as opposed to the Woman's religion, which, as far as Conradin could observe, went to great lengths in the contrary direction.
As Sredni Vashtar was a god he must be supposed to know.

Conradin in the company of Sredni Vashtar everything is happiness, we seem to forget that Conradin is fatally ill. Munro makes it known in this quote "he worshipped with mystic and elaborate ceremonial before the wooden hutch where dwelt Sredni Vashtar, the great ferret." Conradin "worshipped" Sredni Vashtar unlike Mrs.
Conradin idolizes Sredni Vashtar so much that he even made a prayer for him "Sredni Vashtar went forth, His thoughts were red thoughts and his teeth were white.

 H. H. Munro : Sredni Vashtar
The Woman indulged in religion once a week at a church near by, and took Conradin with her, but to him the church service was an alien rite in the House of Rimmon.

 UPF - Think about Shania
So ultimately the hand range you play (and how you play it) is ultimately determined by the highest Shania, and it does not matter where AA or JTs make a certain amount.
Sredni has the opinion of one well known theorist who has privately communicated that he does not feel that adding such a hand necessarily improves Shania.
Sredni has chosen a simple UTG situation to demonstrate this point, but it applies to all aspects of the game.

The hero marries in a blip between chapters, and moves to Africa in one quick transitional sentence.
It's weak; and Sredni Vashtar should get no mercy when he himself gets old and weak.

 UPF - Fulcrumize it, baby
So, to improve your decision process for this common occurance, think up various scenarios that you think are break even or close to it.
It really wouldn't help that much if you were given Sredni's fulcrums, because since Sredni created his own,he knows how the variables interact.
To be licensed to operate your own fulcrum, you need to know how it works, and the best way to do that is to brew your own.

Wellesnet: Radio: "A New Kind of Radio Show"
Perhaps Welles intended to tweak Lady Esther's demographic and perhaps not, but choosing "Sredni Vashtar" as the opening story of his new series certainly demonstrated a lack of interest in presenting a pleasant, vanilla show.
The story is beautifully performed by Welles (as narrator) and the cast, but the subject matter is on the gruesome side: Conradin is a sickly boy living under a cruel guardian, a woman who seemingly works to make his life miserable.
One thing "Sredni Vashtar" did do was display Welles' interest in the unusual or fantastic, something that did not surface to the same extent in his film work.

Sredni Vashtar Summary - Hector Hugh Munro
Conradin finds escape in his vivid imagination and in an unused toolshed, in which he keeps two pets—a Houdan hen, on which he lavishes affection, and a ferret, which he fears and comes to venerate as a god.
Conradin names the ferret Sredni Vashtar and worships the beast as his god, bringing it flowers in season and celebrating festivals...
