KENTIGERN, ST, or MUNGO (dear friend, a name given to him, according to Jocelyn, by St Servanus), a Briton of Strathclyde, called by the Goidels In GlascIzu, the Grey Hound, was, according to the legends preserved in the lives which remain, of royal descent.
Returning to Strathclyde Kentigern lived for some time at Glasgow, near a cemetery ascribed to St Ninian, and was eventually made bishop of that region by the king and clergy.
He thereupon took refuge with St David at Menevia (St Davids), and eventually founded a monastery at Llaneiwy (St Asaphs), for which purpose he received grants from Maelgwn, prince of Gwynedd.

In the neighborhood where I lived, I guess it was called a middle class neighborhood, Fannon's Coal Yard was on the corner at Henry St., and the railroad, Southern Railroad, yard was across from the 1100 block of Duke, and we kids entertained ourselves there on a vacant spot of the railroad property.
Well, the building where I had lived in the apartment, as I say, across from the firehouse at 108 S. St. Asaph, that was put together with wood pegs, in the attic part of it.
I was a volunteer at the firehouse on St. Asaph's St. and before going into the firehouse and the rear entrance of Kresgee's ten cents store right across from each other in the alley way.

He was a member of the college community there, and a tutor of some kind, for at least the next twenty years - witnessing a number of charters during his residence - but he turned to writing not long after his arrival.
It was dedicated to his former colleague at St. George’s, Robert De Chesney, the new Bishop of Lincoln.
He was elected Bishop of St. Asaphs, for good service to his Norman masters; and was consecrated by Archbishop Theobald at Lambeth Palace in February 1152.

Lower Merion Lt. Bernard D'Amour said the chase began when officers tried to pull over a red Lexus for reckless driving as the driver drove through a red light at the intersection of Conshohocken State Road and Union Avenue about 7:30 p.m.
Police said the driver also struck a car on Conshohocken State Road, slightly injuring another driver, before driving east in the westbound curb lane of St. Asaphs Road.
The car was stopped by police on St. Asaphs Road, but before police could get any information from the driver, the car sped away, running a red light on City Avenue and traveling into Philadelphia.
