		Shortly after Father Williams' arrival, Bishop Clarkson informed him, confidentially, that the Trinity Church vestry was not well pleased that he should have lent St. Barnabas Church $4,000 of the fund he held for the building of the proposed new cathedral, and that he wished him to recall the loan.
		In 1878 the St. Barnabas School was established, the only private school in the city of Omaha except Brownell Hall.
