 St. Martha's Hospital, Bangalore, India - Pro-Life
When she died in 1920, St. Martha's was a well known landmark in the City of Bangalore, comprising male and female wards, an out-patients' department, 6 rooms for retired and sick priests and an eye-clinic, the first such in the city.
The validity of this defense was fully demonstrated by the figures for both the inpatients and the outpatients treated at St. Martha's Hospital, which had, in fact, continued to grow steadily, year after year, during the preceding 8 years that had passed after the opening of the Victoria Hospital in 1893.
Martha's Hospital is still one of the more progressive Hospitals in the City, and has various activities co-related to its aim, and especially in an ever-changing society, Pro-Life is one of the various activities that it's voice echoes to mankind.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: St. Martha
The words of St. John (11:1) seem to imply a change of residence for the family.
The familiar intercourse between the Saviour of the world and the humble family which St. Luke depicts is dwelt on by St. John when he tells us that " Jesus loved Martha, and her sister Mary, and Lazarus" (11:5).
We are surely justified in arguing that, since St. Matthew and St. Mark place the scene in the house of Simon, St. John must be understood to say the same; it remains to be proved that Martha could not "serve" in Simon's house.

Martha and the Vandellas emerged as hitmakers almost a year before the Supremes began to dominate the charts, but by 1965 the latter group had overtaken the former in popularity.
Like a number of other girl groups, Martha and the Vandellas were unable to sustain their success as recording artists because of their lack of autonomy, in combination with changes in popular music tastes that took place during the mid-1960s.
While Martha and the Vandellas were able to record a handful of unforgettable pop songs, like many other girl groups they were unable to sustain their careers without the continued support of those who initially helped to create their hit records.
