 St. Wenceslas Heritage Society
The St. Wenceslaus Heritage Society is an association of individuals, both members of the Spillville community and friends of the Spillville community, whose Mission Statement calls for the retention, restoration and maintenance of the religious, architectural and historical authenticity of the St. Wenceslaus Parish and it’s properties.
Wenceslaus Parish came into being as a result of a misunderstanding, the details of which are buried in obscurity.
The St. Wenceslaus Heritage Society is leading an effort to place the St. Wenceslaus Church, the associated Cemetery and Rectory, and the Old School on the National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District.

She was at first buried in the church of St. Michael at Tetin, but her remains were removed to the church of St. George at Prague before the year 1100, probably by St. Wenceslaus, her grandson.
They had twin sons, St. Wenceslaus and Boleslaus the Cruel, the former of whom lived with Ludmilla at Tetin.
She is said to have been strangled by them with her veil.
