		UCS strongly prefers this 99 percent standard over a standard that AMS proposed in 2003 that simply said that "grass, green or range pasture, or forage, shall be 80% or more of the primary energy source throughout the animal’s life cycle." Many stakeholders, notably grass-fed producers, objected to this proposed standard.
		Without this standard, we believe there is significant danger of consumer confusion, first because there is a standard for grass-fed beef but not for grass-fed dairy and second because meat products from dairy cattle may be labeled grass-fed under AMS’s standard while the dairy products from those cattle may not.
		The standards currently under consideration by AMS for antibiotic use and hormones use standards are complementary to the Grass (Forage) Fed Claim and Standard and are important for producers and consumers.

	User Interface Standards: How to Evaluate
		The draft standard was improved after the experiment, so the main lesson from this study is the need for usability testing of usability standards: the ability of designers to use and understand a standard can have more impact on interface quality then the rules specified in the standard.
		These designers were presumably highly motivated to follow the standard since a part of their course grade was determined by their designs and they knew from previous lectures that compliance was to be considered a major usability consideration.
		Prior to the introduction of the standard, a lot of time was spent arguing about minor interface design details whereas now it was possible to close such discussions rapidly by referring to the standard, thus making it possible to concentrate on higher-level matters.

		While it is important to learn a march literally, as a starting point, conductors should feel free to take judicious liberties, particularly with the percussion parts which serve more as a "lead sheet" than a fully written-out part.
