With the publication of his first collection of poems in 1956, Stanislaw Grochowiak (prounounced Stan-i-suave Gro-hov-yak) was immediately recognized as one of the major talents in Post-war Polish poetry.
Because Grochowiak is such an unusual poet, I have included Milosz's intro to the section on him as well as Milosz's translations of two of the poems you translated.
Grochowiak’s meandering personality eludes definition, especially in view of the shifts in his technique and of his multi-faceted activity.
