The Crest Chargers beat the Greensboro Dudley Panthers to win the 3AA state high school football championship.
With nine minutes left in the 3AA state championship, Crest fans knew the Chargers had won their fourth title in 11 seasons.

In response to a reason post on the Engineering of DVD Television Games user 'crest' has informed us that Zoo Tech will be releasing a new version of their DVD Extra Studio later this year.
Kevin Sheedy's Football Challenge is a newly released DVD TV Game that appears to follow the common 'trivia game' construct.
I'm going to be calling Software Zone this afternoon to see if they'll be running a similar offer for LOTR as they are with the Star Wars DVD TV Game.

HICKORY — They don’t wear capes or masks, but Crest High has its own “Dynamic Duo” it turns to when the call comes in on the bat phone from the office of Commisioner Gordon (aka head coach Roy Kirby).
Crest, down 17-13 midway in the third quarter, wore down the host Red Tornadoes with its power running game and sped to a 34-17 victory.

Dick Flood ’55 died of a heart attack in September at his vacation home in Wildwood Crest, N.J. Dick grew up in Mt. Airy and graduated from William Penn Charter School, where he was a star football, baseball, and basketball player.
At Lafayette he was named an All East football player, and he had recently been nominated to the Penn Charter Athletic Honor Society.
Dick has long been an avid sportsman and was former commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May, past president of the Beach Club of Cape May, and a member of the Cape May Tennis Club.
