Star Narration @ NaturalResearch.org (Natural Research)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
Scientifically, stars are defined as self-gravitating spheres of plasma in hydrostatic equilibrium, which generate their own energy through the process of nuclear fusion.
Star formation begins with gravitational instability inside those clouds, often triggered by shock-waves from supernovae or the collision of two galaxies (as in a starburst galaxy).
Eventually, most of the matter in a star is blown away by the explosion (forming nebulae such as the Crab Nebula) and what remains will be a neutron star (sometimes a pulsar or X-ray burster) or, in the case of the largest stars (>3 solar masses after explosion), a fl hole.

Fox's first adventure on Cube wasn't really his own, it was mainly an adventure game and originally had nothing to do with Star Fox, it left us wanting more that's for sure.
Star Fox is one of the few Nintendo franchises with a story that has a somewhat coherent continuum across all games and Assault doesn't change that.
There is more here than the other traditional Star Fox games and even a couple attempts to pull some emotional strings, but they fail to really connect the player with the characters on any kind of emotional level… trust me no one will be pulling out the violins anytime soon.

Planet GameCube Review: Star Fox: Assault   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
While Star Fox: Assault has turned out to be more enjoyable than I expected after my initial impressions, the game does have a few major hindrances and fails to become the glorious comeback fans were hoping for.
Star Fox Adventures may have inspired this more exploratory style, but this is not the way to make a third-person, on-foot shooter.
The Star Fox series has always been short enough to beat in a few hours, but unlike the SNES game with its different courses or Star Fox 64’s many branching paths, Assault takes you straight through, mission to mission, without hidden routes, secret stages, or even a map screen.

Star Fox: Assault (GC) Reviews on Darkstation
Star Fox: Adventures left all of the great things that encompassed Star Fox 64 behind and tried to become a typical action adventure game, and in my opinion failed miserably.
If I had to describe Star Fox: Assault in a few words it would probably be a mixed bag and I say that because there is so much good in the game yet there is so many things left to be desired that you just get a mixed bag.
Star Fox: Assault is a missed opportunity for the developers to resurrect the series, which means you probably should give this a miss too.

If you recall Star Fox 64, half the fun of that game was to go back time and time again and try to increase your score and obtain medals, though that game wasn't encumbered by Assault's underwhelming ground-based combat, and at least it had some branching paths you could take to vary the experience.
