Topic: Star Trek Enterprise

Star Trek: Enterprise - Memory Alpha - A Wikia wiki
Star Trek: Enterprise was the only Star Trek series to complete its run without a change in cast, neither the premature depature of a cast member, nor the addition of new characters at midpoint (though rumors suggest the addition of Jeffrey Combs as Shran was planned for the scrapped fifth season).
Enterprise was due to revisit (actually previsit) the cloud city Stratos on Ardana showing the formation of the two castes seen in TOS: "The Cloud Minders".
However, with the 40th anniversary of Star Trek, Enterprise was replaced in syndication by "remastered" versions of classic TOS episodes on 16 September 2006.

Despite those producers' continuous attempts to explain their reasons for the use of the pop song in a traditionally orchestral setting --a flight from tradition that underscores a larger irritation with score fans in general since the mid-1990's-- the hardcore fans of the series have rejected the song.
At the launching of Enterprise in 2001, the song was even a mockery in some circles, with fans claiming to hit the mute button on their television whenever the credits for the show began.
The role of Dennis McCarthy in the Trek franchise is a vital one.

A panel of Star Trek experts and enthusiasts said Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con that the reason the now-canceled Enterprise series cast the future of the franchise in doubt was that it wasn't enough like the gritty new Battlestar Galactica.
One problem with Enterprise was its bait-and-switch marketing, promising to bridge the gap between today's Space Shuttle technology and the star-spanning era of Captain Kirk and Spock, said Bill Hunt, editor of digitalbits.com, which focuses on DVD technology.
Star Trek: Enterprise will enter the world of syndication in the United States commencing the weekend of September 17, 2005.

Back on the Enterprise, the bridge hand rails effectively establish the labyrinth effect for those who are not familiar with the stations, and generally set up an obstruction to the captain's chair.
The Enterprise is constant; she is the ally required for extrication of the crew and transport clear of 'twists' and 'curves' in the alternate universe - Kirk knows how to read his ship, and his Spocks, efficiently.

Though "Star Trek" generates multimillions of dollars for Paramount Pictures, thanks to licensing of merchandise and TV syndication sales, the last two TV series, "Deep Space Nine" and "Voyager," have played mostly to the hard-core faithful.
Expect "Enterprise," which stars Scott Bakula ("Quantum Leap") as Capt. Jonathan Archer, to reinvent "Star Trek." The new show is set a full century before Captain Kirk sets out to "explore strange new worlds." But, unlike Kirk's crew, the new cast won't be dressed like they're on their way to a galactic slumber party.

Star Trek: Enterprise - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Enterprise (retitled Star Trek: Enterprise in Season 3) is a science fiction television series set in the Star Trek universe.
Due to low ratings, Enterprise was cancelled by UPN on February 2, 2005 after a run of four seasons and 98 episodes, making it the first Star Trek series since the original Star Trek to have been cancelled by its network rather than finished by its producers.
Enterprise takes pains to show the origins of some concepts which have become taken for granted in Star Trek canon, such as Reed's development of force fields and Archer's questions about cultural interference which would eventually be answered by the Prime Directive.

Zap2it - TV news - UPN Ends the Voyage of 'Star Trek: Enterprise'
Series star Scott Bakula, who plays Enterprise Capt. Jonathan Archer, hops between soundstages during production of a multi-part episode that sends him and some of his crewmates into a parallel universe (a "Trek" trend begun in "Mirror, Mirror," an episode of the original 1960s series).
After critical praise for an extended 9/11-inspired storyline last season, "Enterprise" is ironically having what may be an even stronger year creatively, with many episodes echoing characters and stories from the original series.
Some may say that "Enterprise's" demise is part of an effort for UPN to redefine its identity.

With the Star Wars Lego sets, you get a playset as well as a model vehicle, (a wonderful example of this "display-`n'-play" duality is Lego's Millenium Falcon toy; check it out at www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001CU1HY/qid=1102994485/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl21/104-0299549-1691908?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846) giving the line the kind of playability and interactivity that this glorified model lacks.

Captain Archer (Scott Bakula) and his crew have certainly made interesting scientific discoveries and found a handful of allies among the alien races they've encountered during their travels, but they've made a number of powerful and dangerous enemies as well.
They've framed Archer and his crew for the destruction of a peaceful colony on a remote outpost, causing Starfleet to consider cancelling the Enterprise's mission altogether - a move which could spell the end of Starfleet's program of exploration and irrevocably alter the future.
Its action-intense storyline was a welcome change from the previous year's largely aimless wandering (even despite a rather odd speech by the Captain, comparing humanity to newborn gazelles).
