Star Wars Roleplaying Game (Wizards of the Coast) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An earlier but unrelated Star Wars role-playing game was published by West End Games between 1987 and 1999.
The eras coincide with major events in the Star Wars universe, and are the Rise of the Empire era, the Rebellion era, and the New Jedi Order era.

WEG Star Wars vs D20 Star Wars [Archive] - RPGnet Forums
Now, trying to picture Star Wars in terms of levels and hit points seems blasphemous, I was hoping that some excellent Force rules could redeem it--if only because I probably won't be able to find another WEG book again.
Star Wars d20 is written in a much better style, and is quite a bit better organized than the DandD3 books.
D20, while not a bad game, shows very obvious signs of having been rushed, and suffers from rules that are cludgy, difficult to modify, or just royal fuck-all stupid (starship combat, again).

Urbis - A World of Cities
Where Urbis differs from other d20 fantasy settings is not in the rules, but in the scope of the setting.
There are plenty of things to do in the cities, from hunting monsters in the sewers, getting caught up in struggles between crime families, fighting for social justice for the downtrodden masses, to high-stakes games of dimplomacy and intrigues between the rich and powerful of the cities.
While most d20 fantasy worlds draw their inspiration from the Feudal Age or Renaissance of our world - or even earlier periods - Urbis is heavily inspired by the time of the European Industrial revolution - the time when cities came into their own.

Star Wars D20 Revised Core Rules | otherearths
If you watch Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, you learn a lot of what happened in the ten years between these two movies, and this got my creative juices flowing again.
I mean, you are reducing what passes for their hit points, but at the same time you have to emphasis that these are near misses and their character are expending energy to avoid taking a direct hit.
So overall, in spite of a few minor flaws, the D20 version of Star Wars, as represented in the Revised Core Rule books is a must have for any gamer who is a fan of Star Wars, or Space Opera in general.

In D20, just about everything you do is governed by chance, coming in the form of a die, ranging from four-sided, to six, eight, ten, twelve, and twenty-sided dice.

It really is easier on the kids sticking to a single system like D20, though don’t think for a second that I’m not eager to try some other systems.
This adventure turned out to be very short, almost too short, but was a nice way to get back into Star Wars and hopefully will lead to some more play in the near future.
