Starfire (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Starfire was born and raised on the distant planet Tamaran before arriving on Earth and joining the Teen Titans.
Starfire's costume in the animated series is more modest than her comic book costume, with a small top and a short skirt in place of her comic-book incarnation's rather revealing outfit, resulting in a much less risqué outfit.
Starfire has the power of flight (although she does not leave the distinctive contrail of the original) and super-strength, greater than that of her teammate Cyborg (as proven in the episodes "Overdrive" and "Bethrothed").

Starfire decided to rebuild her culture on a new planet; many Tamaraneans were off-world during the explosion – enough to settle on a new planet dubbed New Tamaran.

Robin (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Readers never truly bonded with Todd and, in 1988, DC made the controversial decision to poll readers using a 1-900 number as to whether or not Todd should be killed.
Readers voted "yes" by a small margin (5,343 to 5,271) and Todd was subsequently murdered by the Joker in the A Death in the Family storyline, in which the psychopath beat the youngster severely with a crowbar, and left him in a warehouse rigged with a bomb.
DC Comics was left uncertain about readers' decision to kill Todd, wondering if they felt Batman should be a lone vigilante, disliked Todd specifically, or just wanted to see if DC would actually kill the character.

The Comic Treadmill: Starfire 2-8 (1976-77)
Starfire 4, “Slaves of the Golden Queen”, is the best of Maggin’s outings due to his selection of an intriguing adversary, a human woman who, like Starfire had been raised to be a Mygorg concubine and who also escaped.
Starfire 6, “Citadel of Silence” was the first of a 2-parter by Steve Englehart that concluded the quest for advanced weaponry, told the origin of Thump and dumped all of the supporting cast but for Thump and Moonwatcher as casually and with as little drama as possible.
And that’s it for Starfire, a series that was perhaps ahead of its time in the use of a mixed race female star, but which never got a chance to find out due to fumbling direction at the hands of too many writers and editors.
