It is absurd also to impose united Sarajevo under muslim control, when it is known that such intentions haven't worked in the case of Mostar which, in spite of almost two years of pressure by the international community, remains divided by the Neretva river into two cities controlled by the federal allies: Croats and muslims.

However, having gone to Sarajevo frequently between 1992 and 1995, I did indeed suffer shots from heavy weapons towards Sarajevo, and I was able to witness what such shots could provoke on the other side later on.

Positive development is seen in grater number of reinstatements of prewar occupancy right holders in the cases where temporary occupants occupied the apartments for improvement of their standard of living, which means that mentioned occupants in Sarajevo have other places to live.
It is noted that municipalities of Canton Sarajevo do not observe usage of real properties declared to be temporary abandoned and allocated to other persons for temporary usage.
Positive trends are recorded in some wealthier municipalities (Stari grad, Centar, Novi grad) which pay rents for accommodation of evicted occupants out of municipal resources.

Many in Sarajevo believe Sacirbey should be brought back to Sarajevo to answer for the missing funds, and possibly face trial.
But he alleges that while Sacirbey himself may have misappropriated funds, politicians who were in the Sarajevo government at the time could also be implicated if the case has a public airing - and many of them would therefore prefer the case to go away.

Since the beginning of the Milosevic trial in October 2001, IREX has worked with B92 to broadcast the hearings live in Serbia as well as provide daily reports including interviews with leading lawyers, witnesses, and experts.
