 Starlord
Starlord withdraws from the shootfighting game as a respected and wealthy man. His elite-hood had first served him good to give him a nasty reputation but later it was almost forgotten when he joined the ranks of the "good guys" within the XWF.
Starlord can transform into a strange form of matter-energy which looks like a cloud of dark dense matter sprinkled with tiny burning sparks, very similar to stars in the night sky.
Starlord is able to project these two quite different energies, either as a stream of stars that sticks to the target and can keep burning for up to 30 seconds after impact, or as a cloud of choking, crushing, blinding darkness.

'Starlord' is your paper...and your crash-course in Interstellar Survival!
After 22 issues it was announced that humanity's readiness had discouraged the would be attackers, that we were safe, and that Starlord could return to space, leaving us safe in the hands of his friend, Tharg.
Comments: Starlord was the character created to be the editor for the short lived Starlord comic (what an ego - even Tharg the Mighty, known for being an ego-maniac, didn't call his magazine after himself!).

 Comics UK - Starlord
Starlord was undoubtedly IPC's attempt at producing a luxury comic, and very good it was too.
Where the likes of 2000AD and Battle were still being printed on the typical low-quality paper with their four coloured pages, Starlord was produced on strong, smooth paper and contained eight high quality coloured pages.
Starlord's 22 issues contained just 6 stories, or 7 if you count Good Morning Sheldon, I Love You (a kind of Tharg's Future Shocks story), which appeared in issue 11 because the Strontium Dog took a break that week.

Starlords' and Ship's adventures most likely take place a few decades in a potential future.
It would also seem likely that if this is the case, that when Jason rebuilt his ship, it was just a mechanical device, no longer inhabited by the consciousness of Ship.
