		The Starman (also known as Star, Invincibility Star, Shiny Star, Power Star, or the more literal translation of Super Star) is a power-up from the Mario series of video games.
		The Starman debuted in Super Mario Bros., and is so named because it has a pair of small eyes, as if the topmost point of the star were its head.
		Because of the highly valued invincibility it grants, the Starman and stars in general are used by the Mario series to denote special areas, rewards, and secrets.

		I enjoyed reading about all the different games in the player's guide, because the only one in the book I owned was Super Mario Bros. It was a way to become familiar with lots of games without making my mom go out and buy them all for me. One game in particular caught my eye.
