In a shocking development that could cause the price of water to Lake Arrowhead residents to skyrocket, the State of California has overturned the Lake Arrowhead Community Services District’s (LACSD) ability to remove water from the lake and is threatening to fine the LACSD up to $500,000 for illegal water diversions.
The state’s ruling may also have the effect, he said, of focusing a public spotlight on CLAWA’s high rates to mountain customers.
Another perspective on the situation was shared with The Alpenhorn News by Bill Roberts, a retired business consultant who was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat on the LACSD board in 2003.
