The revenue for state, county and municipal purposes is derived principally from a general property tax, a privilege tax levied on the gross receipts of express companies and private car companies, an inheritance tax and licence fees for the sale of intoxicating liquors.

State Route 9 is a state highway in Washington, U.S.A. It extends from just north of Woodinville in the Puget Sound region to the United States-Canada border at Sumas, a distance of about 98 miles.
For most of its distance SR-9 largely parallels Interstate 5 to the west, crossing the Snohomish, Skagit, Stillaguamish and Nooksack rivers, and coming within about 17 miles of Mount Baker.

My planned route would take me from the Canadian border on Highway 9 (thru Nooksack) to Sedro Wooley and then east on 20 mostly all the way to Spokane.
SR 9 between the border and Sedro-Woolley is mostly a two-lane road with no shoulders.
According to the Washington State Bicycle Map, traffic from the border to Wickersham was in the 0-1,999 vehicles range in 1998.

Organizers of the Pentagon's 9/11 memorial Freedom Walk on Sunday are taking extraordinary measures to control participation in the march and concert, with the route fenced off and lined with police and the event closed to anyone who does not register online by 4:30 p.m.
The march, sponsored by the Department of Defense, will wend its way from the Pentagon to the Mall along a route that has not been specified but will be lined with four-foot-high snow fencing to keep it closed and "sterile," said Allison Barber, deputy assistant secretary of defense.
The parade route will be lined with snow fencing, allowing only those who preregistered to participate.

Since October of 2000, Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has operated the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center at Silver Lake as a result of a partnership agreement (under a special use permit) with the United States Forest Service.
The Mount St. Helens Silver Lake Visitor Center is on State Parks land adjacent to Seaquest State Park on State Route 504, five miles east of Interstate 5.
Please note: Washington State Parks accepts federal Golden Age, Golden Eagle and Golden Access passes at the Silver Lake Visitor Center.
