Control state is another type of hidden state reserved exclusively for controls to maintain their core behavioral functionality, whereas view state only contains state to maintain the control's contents (UI).
Technically, control state is stored in the same hidden field as view state (being just another leaf node at the end of the view state hierarchy), but if you disable view state on a particular control, or on an entire page, the control state is still propagated.

Therefore, only a finite number of matrix manipulations is necessary to determine whether or not a state is reachable from another state, thus providing the same information that could be obtained from a complete backwards reachability graph of the state machine model.
Unlike model checking, the computational cost does not increase as greatly with the number of backward states that need to be visited to obtain the information necessary to ensure that the design is safe or to redesign it to be safe.

US spacesuits have been pressurized at 0.30 bar (30% earth sea level pressure), but because the gas in the suit is 100 percent oxygen instead of 20 percent, the person in a spacesuit actually has more oxygen to breathe than is available at an altitude of 3,000 m without the spacesuit.
