		he band Steam was formed at the end of the year 1999 by banjo player Ján Bratinka a year after broke up of his band BG Album.
		The band is basically at the begining of perspective route and had been invited on Bluegrass festivals to Austria, Germany, Holland (EWOB Bluegrass festival 2001), Czech republic etc.
		The Steam had posibillity to present this on many domestic festivals as Bluegrass festival in Horná Poruba, Dobrofest Trnava, Bluegrass Session in Pezinok and aproad world (Austria, Germany, Netherlande - EWOB 2001, EWOB 2002, Kolin, etc).

	Etchingham Steam Band
		A bit more information for you Steve, as you may already know, the Etchingham Steam Band was an all accoustic band formed during the power cuts of the of the mid-70's, led by Shirley Collins and her then husband Ashley Hutchings.
		The band was disbanded (no pun intended) soon after life got back to normal, they never released any records at the time, but a CD was released in 1995.
		Members of the band went on to pioneer a new approach to English Country Dance music and performance.

		Sure, the band makes nods toward is agitator days, as “Communist Moon” and “Armed Love” particularly split the difference between socialist ideology and personal issues, in a not-too-convincing manner.

		With eight brass players, five saxes, four holding down the rhythm section and a couple of singers, I imagine it takes hours to settle who sits shotgun on the band bus.
		The music is big-band swing in the Basie and Ellington tradition, with a little Latin jazz and R&B thrown in for good measure, yet it has enough twists and tempo changes to make it somewhat contemporary.
