In late December of 2005, The Heritage Theatre Company forged a partnership with The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in order to produce classical and historical productions at the outdoor amphitheatre (The Amphitheatre in the Woods) at Cabin John Regional Park in Potomac, Maryland, thereby adding another dimension to the company's repertoire.

Steppenwolf has earned a reputation for quality, risk-taking and integrity.
After conversations with the Towing Company and a local police officer at the scene, and 45 minutes later we discovered that BOTH cars had been towed because they and many other cars were parked in a private retail parking lot by the valet.
We will not go there again, even by cab, because we feel that theatre management should care about clients from the beginning to the end of their experience, and should not allow an unlicensed vendor to operate illegally at their door.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company takes on the agonizing, hot button topic of euthanasia in its latest World Premiere, "Love-Lies-Bleeding." Playwright Don DeLillo takes an intelligent if strangely cool approach to an issue we have all grappled with, especially in the light of the recent Terri Schiavo case.
The play is worth seeing for its valid discussion of life and death issues and for two strong performances by Martha Lavey and Penelope Walker.
That is not to say that there aren't some deep flaws on the Upstairs Steppenwolf stage, some intrinsic to the writing and others to the production itself.

I can’t believe that Steppenwolf gave me this opportunity to be a part of this cast, and experience live stage theatre.
We have our production of The Pillowman continuing in the Downstairs Theatre through November the 12th, and Upstairs, our production of The Bluest Eye plays to student audiences on week day matinees and for general audiences on the weekends.
